Job Description
Role:
• Primarily perform all types of procedures such as accessioning, processing, embedding, cutting and staining of tissue slides.
• Develop and validate biomarker assays such as IHC, FISH and ability for troubleshooting
• Prepare and maintain reagents and supplies, calibrate and maintain equipment with proper documentation.
• Adhere to procedures as directed by Lead Cytotechnologist, Pathologists, and lab head.
• Responsible for accurate quality control
• The candidate needs to work well under supervision, managing their time efficiently and demonstrated flexibility to adapt to changes as processes evolve.
• The desired candidate will be one that proactively participates and engages in the laboratory workflow and environment.
Desired Profile
Skill Set :
• The senior position requires MLT or MSc degree in life science with 5 years of histology experience.
• Histology tech certification or ASCP preferred.
• Previous molecular pathology laboratory management skills desired.
• Previous knowledge in biomarker assay development and validation will be added advantage.
