Advertisement for Junior Research Fellow (Two Posts)
Applications are invited for the position of two JRFs under supervision of Dr D. P. Mandal and Dr Shamee Bhattacharjee, Assistant Professors, Department of Zoology, West Bengal State University for the following projects:
(i) DBT-sponsored project entitled: ‘Investigation into the modulation of TGFβ signaling by capsaicin and eugenol using the p53/p21 axis in gastric carcinoma’.
(ii) CSIR project entitled ‘Modulation of tumor angiogenesis by the use of active ingredients of Pimpenella anisum and Coriandrum sativum in mice – a preclinical study’.
JRF (two posts)
Pay: As per the rules of the respective funding agencies.
Tenure: The Fellowship is initially for a period of one year purely on temporary basis and is renewable annually for a total period of three years. There will be a review of the activity before renewal.
Essential qualification: Post graduation (minimum 55%) in any stream of Life Sciences. Candidates must be qualified as per the rules of the funding agencies. Fulfillment of essential criteria does not ensure selection.
