Applications are invited upto 17.10.2011 for filling up, 2 (Two) posts of Technical Assistant (UNRESERVED) (Group-B, Technical, Non-Gazetted) in PB-2 Pay Band of Rs. 9300-34,800 + Grade Pay Rs. 4200 as per details given below: Download Application Form
I. POST NO.1 : INITIALLY AT VCRC FIELD STATION, KORAPUT (ORISSA)
II. POST NO.2: INITIALLY AT VCRC FIELD STATION, KOTTAYAM (KERALA)
(i) Educational Qualifications and experience for post 1 & 2:
Three years Graduate Degree in Science subject Zoology/Life Sciences with 2 years experience from a Research/Academic Govt. Organization/Institute or Three years Graduate Degree in Science subject Zoology/Life Sciences with two year diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology from a recognized University/Institute.
(ii) Nature of duties for post 1 & 2 :
Vector and parasite/pathogen related field surveys including sample : collections; Laboratory processing - identification of vectors, dissection, Detection of parasite/pathogen (convention and molecular methods), bioassays; experiments related to vector parasite infection. Maintenance of field and laboratory equipments in use; Field and laboratory collected data compilation in computers.
Candidates fulfilling the above qualifications and willing to apply for the posts can download the application form the web site (www.vcrc.res.in), and submit the same on or before 17.10.2011 to “The Director, Vector Control Research Centre, Medical Complex, Indira Nagar, Pondicherry – 605 006. Attested copies of certificates in proof of Date of birth, Educational Qualification (Degree Certificate along with statement of marks), Community (SC/ST/OBC) must be enclosed with the application. Separate application should be submitted for each post. Candidates working in Government Departments should send their applications through proper channel and should produce NO OBJECTION CERTIFICATE at the time of appearing for the Competitive Test and Interview. SC/ST candidates called for interview will be paid Travelling Allowance second class to & fro fare by the shortest route as admissible under Rules. Incomplete and the applications received after the last date will be rejected. Since it is not possible to call all the eligible candidates to appear for the test and interview, applicants will be short listed for the competitive test based on the percentage of marks obtained by them in the prescribed Degree Examination, and based on their performance in the test, the candidates will be further shortlisted for the interview. Any canvassing by or on behalf of the candidate or bringing political or other outside influence with regard to selection shall be a disqualification and such candidates will not be entertained.
