Eligible candidates may appear for Walk-in-interview for the posts of Senior Research Fellows in ICAR-AMAAS & ICAR-NAIP and Junior Research Fellow in DST funded project as follows:

Assessing structural and functional shifts in soil microbial communities of paper mill effluent contaminated soils and utilization of dominant microflora for crop growth promotion” funded by ICAR under ICAR Network Project on AMAAS

Senior Research Fellow (1 position)

Rs. 16,000 + 30% HRA

Essential: M.Sc. Microbiology/Biotechnology with minimum 60% marks.

Desirable: Two or more years experience in the area of Microbial identification techniques, gene cloning and bio-informatics

Bioprospecting of genes and allele mining for abiotic stress tolerance funded by ICAR under NAIP

Senior Research Fellow (1 position)

Rs. 16,000 + 30% HRA

Essential: M.Sc. Microbiology/Biotechnology with minimum 60% marks.

Desirable: Two or more years experience in the area of allele mining, gene cloning and bio-informatics

Archaeal- and anaerobic ammonia oxidative processes of nitrogen cycling in oxic and anoxic soils funded by DST

Junior Research Fellow (1 position)

Rs. 16,000 + 30% HRA

Essential: M. Sc. (Microbiology/Biotechnology) with NET/GATE qualified

Desirable: Experience in molecular- and anaerobic microbiological methods.

Age Limit: 35 years max. (5 years relaxation for SC/ST/OBC and woman candidates as per ICAR rules). The above position is purely temporary and will be filled on contractual basis. The positions in ICAR-AMAAS and ICAR-NAIP projects are for the period upto 31st March 2013. However, in case of DST project the initial appointment of JRF is for one year and likely to be extended further. The selected candidates will have no claim for regular appointment at this institute as the position is purely temporary in nature and is co-terminus with the project.

The interview will be held on 1st August 2012 (reporting time 9.30-11.30 am) at Division of Microbiology, IARI, Pusa Campus, New Delhi-110012.

The candidates must bring five copies of duly filled in biodata (as per the format provided on next page), original certificates, attested photocopies of all the certificates and an attested copy of recent passport size photograph. No TA/DA would be given for the appearance in interview. Only the candidates having essential qualifications would be entertained for the interviews.
