Abiotic Stress SRF Opening @ WTC, Delhi

Water Technology Center
New Delhi

Recruitment of Senior Research fellow

Title of the Project: Physiological and molecular basis of senescence: Regulation of senescence by reproductive sink intensity and abiotic stresses in wheat and Chenopodium.

Objectives of the project:
1. To characterize senescence at leaf, cellular and molecular level and study its interaction with reproductive sink strength and abiotic stresses.
2. To clone genes important for senescence and abiotic stresses which can help in
modulating the rate of senescence in crops and hence help in stabilizing grain
productivity in stress prone environments.
