The Central Zoo Authority (CZA) is a statutory autonomous body under the administrative control of the Ministry of Environment & Forests, Govt. of India. The CZA was established in February, 1992 with the objectives to enforce minimum standards and norms for upkeep and health care of animals in Indian Zoos, to provide them technical and other assistance for improvement and to restrain mushrooming of unplanned and ill-conceived Zoos that were cropping up as adjuncts to public parks, industrial complexes and waysides.
Application are invited in the prescribed proforma for the various posts in the Central Zoo Authority.
For Deputation
For the post of the Deputy Inspector General, Evaluation and Monitoring Officer and Evaluation and Monitoring Assistant
2. Evaluation and Monitoring Officer PB – 3 (15,600-39,100) with the grade pay of Rs.6600/-
By deputation (including short term contract) CZA, Hqrs, New Delhi
Officers of the Central Government or State Government or Union territories or Public Sector Undertakings or Statutory or Autonomous Organisations, ---
(a) (i) holding analogous post on regular basis; or (ii) with five years’ regular service in pay band – 3: Rs. 15600-39100 plus grade pay of Rs. 5400/- ; and
(b) possessing the following educational qualifications and experience :--
Essential :
(i) Master Degree in Zoology or Wildlife as a subject from a recognised University or Institute ;
(ii) having three years experience in the field of Zoo management or wildlife management in Zoos funded by the Central Government or State Government or in private Zoos recognised by the Central Zoo Authority or in Zoo or Wildlife related organisation recognised by the Central Government or State Government.
Desirable : Ph. D Degree in Zoology or Wildlife from a recognised University.
3. Evaluation and Monitoring Assistant Pay Band – 2, (9,300-34,800) with the grade pay of Rs. 4,200/-
By deputation (including short term contract) CZA Hqrs, New Delhi
Officials of the Central Government or State Government or Union territories or Public Sector Undertakings or Statutory or Autonomous Organisations,---
(a) (i) holding analogous post on regular basis; or
(ii) with six years’ regular services in pay band –1: Rs.5200-20200 plus grade pay of Rs. 2800/- ; or
(ii) with eight years’ regular services in the 1: p ay band –
Rs.5200-20200 plus grade pay of Rs. 2400/- ; and
(b)(i) possessing B.Sc. with Zoology or Wildlife as a subject from a recognized University.
(ii) having three years experience in the field of zoo related activities in Zoos funded by the Central Government or State Government or in private Zoos recognised by the Central Zoo Authority or in Zoo or Wildlife related organisation recognised by the Central Government or State Government.
(iii) Knowledge of Computer Application.
For the post of Technical Assistant (Direct Recruitment)
4. Technical Assistant Pay Band – 1 (5,200-20,200) with the grade pay of Rs. 2,800/- (UR)
CZA Hqrs. New Delhi
Essential : B.Sc. with Zoology or Wildlife as a subject from a recognised University.
Desirable :
(i) having three years experience in the field of zoo related activities in Zoos funded by the Central Government or State Government or in private Zoos recognised by the Central Zoo Authority or in Zoo or Wildlife related organisation recognised by
the Central Government or State Government.
(ii) Knowledge of Computer Application.
