| 4. Qualifications | For (A) RA- Essential: 1st class M.Sc. & Ph.D. in Microbiology/ Biotechnology with publications in scientific journals. Desirable: Experience in isolation characterization and Molecular identification of bacteria and/or archaea and reporting novel special (bacterial). |
| For (B) RS - Essential: (i) 1st class M.Sc. in Microbiology Desirable: Clearance of CSIR-UGC/NET. Experience in Bacterial identification (molecular approach), taxonomy. | |
| 5. Monthly stipend (fixed) | (A) RA-Rs.22000/- (fixed) + HRA, (B) RS- Rs.11000/- (fixed). |

In case of non-availability of qualified RA, position/s may be filled at the lower level as per norms being followed at this Institute. Similarly in case of JRF, in case of non- availability of qualified JRF, positions may be filled at lower level of Research Students with qualifications of M. Sc. with at least 55% marks in the respective subject.
Candidates will to apply for more than one position should submit separate application for each position along with necessary documents and application fees.

The prescribed essential qualifications are bare minimum and mere possession of same will not entitle the candidate to be called for interview. In case number of applications received in response to the advertisement is large, it may not be convenient or possible for the Institute to interview all the candidates. The Institute may restrict the number of candidates to be called for interview to a reasonable limit, on the basis of qualifications and experience higher than the minimum prescribed in the advertisement.
