The Institute is in the process of engaging short term contract base researchers and
assistants to work on different in-house projects. These positions are for Institute HQs and its regional units (Details of projects and positions are given in Annexure-I).
Desirous Candidates may attend, at their own cost, the Walk-in- Interview on January 30, 2013 (11.00 am) at any of the following locations for specified positions at different places. Copy of the Application along with supporting documents to be submitted at the time of interview; position applied for should be written at top right hand corner on first page in bold letters. Separate applications are required for different positions.

The terms of contract include the following:
(a) Emoluments and educational qualification
(i) Contract Researcher– Level I @12,000.00 (Twelve thousand only) per month fixed.
Candidate should have a first class master’s degree. Those having research experience in the Himalayan region will be given preference. Age limit- 28 years.
(ii) Contract Researcher– Level II @ 14,000.00 (Fourteen thousand only) per month fixed. Candidates should have a first class master’s degree along with minimum of years research experience in the Himalaya. Age limit- 32 years (relaxation may be given up to 45 years for exceptionally experienced candidates).
(iii) Research Assistant - @ 8,000.00 (Eight thousand only) per month fixed.
Candidates should have bachelors’ degree with minimum two years experience of field work in the Himalaya. Age limit- 40 years.
(b) Relaxation in upper age limit will be given as per Government of India norms for PH/SC/ST/Women & OBC applicants.
Selected Candidate will be assigned specific tasks, in a designated project, which must be completed within stipulated time. All the contract positions, as indicated above, are up-to March 31, 2013 only.
