Walk-in-Interview for the selection of Junior / Senior Research Fellow and Technical Assistant on contractual basis is scheduled to be held on 30.01.2013 (Wednesday) at 11.00 AM.

Name of the Project: DBT funded project–Bio-fortification and Development of Disease Resistance in Banana.

Duration of the Project: : Till October 2016

I. Name of the Post : SRF / JRF / Project Fellows

Number of Post : Six

Fellowship (as per DBT guidelines) : Rs.16000/- per month consolidated

Essential Qualification : First class in M.Sc. (Hort.) / M. Sc. (Botany) / M.Sc. (Life Sciences / Plant Biotechnology/Agricultural Biotechnology).

Desirable : Minimum one year experience in plant tissue culture, suspension culture, genetic transformation, molecular techniques like southern, northern, bioinformatics etc.

Selected candidates are obligated to register for Ph.D. program.

II. Name of the Post :Technical Assistants

Number of Post : Three

Fellowship (as per DBT guidelines) : Rs.8000 Consolidated

Qualification : First class in M.Sc.(Botany) / M.Sc. (Life Sciences)/Plant Biotechnology, Agricultural Biotechnology / M.Sc. (Hort.) with Biotechnology specialization.

Desirable : Experience in plant tissue culture, cell suspension culture, molecular biology techniques etc.

General Terms and conditions:

a. Age Limit: 35 years for men and 40 years for women b. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview
c. The decision of Director, NRCB would be final and binding in all aspects.
Candidates attending the Walk-in-Interview should neatly type the application in the format prescribed in MS-WORD –TIMES NEW ROMAN FONT – 12 SIZE and submit the same along with self attested photo, attested copies of educational qualifications, experience and publications at the time of attending the Walk-in-Interview. Original certificates should also be brought for verification at the time of Walk-in- Interview. Candidates already working should produce “No Objection Certificate “from the employer.
