Walk in interview program for the following temporary project posts tenable at NCCS, Pune.

01-JRF Junior Research Fellow (One Post)

“Screening of bio-molecules from bacterial diversity isolated from various ecological niches of Western Ghats ” under the supervision of Dr. Yogesh S. Shouche, Scientist ‘F’

28 Years

Essential: M.Sc. or equivalent degree in any branch of Life Sciences with minimum of 55% marks.

Desirable: Basic Microbiology Techniques.

Preference will be given to candidates with NET/GATE/LS qualifications.

Rs. 12,000/- + 20% HRA p.m.

Eight Months

02-JRF Junior Research Fellow (One Post)

“Identification of novel cellular targets and new molecules to inhibit HIV1 infection” under the supervision of Dr. Debashis Mitra, Scientist ‘G’

28 Years

Essential: M.Sc. or equivalent degree in any branch of Life Sciences with minimum of 55% marks and experience in Animal Cell Culture.

Desirable: Experience in HIV-I Research will be given preference.
Preference will be given to candidates with NET/GATE/LS qualifications.

Rs. 12,000/- +20% HRA p.m.

Six Months

03-PA Project Assistant (One Post)

“Discovery of bioactive natural products from microbes especially actinomycetes in niche biotopes in Manipur” under the supervision of Dr. Shekhar C. Mande, Director

28 Years

Essential: M.Sc. or equivalent degree in any branch of Life Sciences with minimum of 55% marks.

Desirable: Experience in instrumentation such as working knowledge of FPLC, CD or surface plasma resource and common molecular biological techniques. Knowledge of word processing , Excel etc.

Rs. 8,000/- p.m. (Fixed)

Two Years

05-SRF Senior Research Fellow (One Post)

“Regulation of T cell Development and Differentiation by Nuclear Matrix Protein SMAR1: Its Implications in Responses” under supervision of Dr. Samit Chattopadhyay, Scientist ‘G’

32 Years

Essential: M. Sc. or equivalent degree with minimum of 55% marks in any branch of Life Science and at least two years of post-M.Sc. research experience, M. Tech or M. Pharm or equivalent degree with minimum of 60% marks.

Desirable: Experience in Molecular Biology Techniques.

Preference will be given to candidates with NET/GATE/LS qualifications.

Rs.14000/- + 20% HRA p.m.

One Year & Ten months

06-JRF Junior Research Fellow (One Post)

“Molecular Pathways regulating Ovarian Cancer Cell Plasticity and Stem Cell Properties” under supervision of Dr. Sharmila Bapat, Scientist ‘E’

28 Years

Essential: M.Sc. or equivalent degree in any branch of Life Sciences with minimum of 55% marks.

Preference will be given to candidates with NET/GATE/LS qualifications.

Rs. 12,000/- +15% HRA p.m. for 1st and 2nd year, Rs. 14000/- + 15% HRA p.m. for 3rd Year.

Two Years & Two Months

07-PA Project Assistant (One Post)

“Evaluation of the effect of apoptotic inhibitors on ex vivo expansion and cryopreservation of Hematopoietic stem/progenitor cells in a co-culture system with cord derived Mesenchymal stem cells” under the supervision of Dr. L. S. Limaye, Scientist ‘G’

28 Years

Essential: B.Sc. or equivalent degree in any branch of Life Sciences with minimum of 55% marks. Should have post graduate diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology and minimum six months experience in a biological research laboratory in animal cell culture.

Desirable: Experience with stem cell culture.

Rs. 12,000/- +20% HRA p.m.

Three Years

The candidates fulfilling the requirements may attend the walk in interview on the date of interview and they should report at 9.00 am sharp at the address given below:-

Candidates reporting after 9.30 am will not be permitted to attend the interview, which may be noted.

 Upper age limit will be considered as on the date of interview. Age relaxation of 5 years in case of SC/ST/Women/PH and 3 years in case of OBC candidates will be given as per Government of India rules.

 Reservation as per Govt. of India norms will be followed.
 Marks relaxation of 5% for SC/ST candidates i.e. minimum 50% marks.
 No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
 For JRF Position, Preference will be given to candidates who have qualified CSIR-NET/ GATE / UGC-LS examination. Selected candidates who have qualified NET/GATE will be paid stipend of Rs. 16,000/- p.m. + HRA depending on the project sanction order. Candidates, who have LS qualifications or not qualified in any of the above mentioned examinations, if selected, will be paid stipend of Rs.12, 000/- p.m.

 SC/ST candidates should produce proof of their caste certificate from appropriate authority and OBC candidates should produce latest non-creamy layer certificate in the prescribed form for claiming the reservation benefits.

 Please bring *Bio-data Form.doc & *Preference Form.Doc duly filled in and all original certificates showing date of birth, qualification, statement of marks of the exam passed (10th , 12th , Graduation, Post Graduation, Ph.D.), certificate of past experience, certificate in support of present employment, salary certificate & other relevant documents along with a set of attested copies.

 Candidates are required to mention the post preference for Junior Research Fellow positions as per their interest and research area.
