NIRRH Bioinformatics Scientist Jobs

Applications are invited through Walk-in-Interview on 01-04-2013 between 09:00 hrs. and 12:00 hrs. for the following posts under Non-Institutional ad-hoc project.

Title of project: “BIOMEDICAL INFORMATICS CENTRES”

1. Scientist – I

Rs. 33,306/- + HRA

1st Class Master’s degree in Bioinformatics / Life Sciences / Biochemistry / Biotechnology / Microbiology from a recognized university

or

2nd Class Master’s degree in Bioinformatics / Life Sciences / Biotechnology / Microbiology + Ph.D. degree in relevant subject from a recognized university.

• Doctorate in relevant subject with 1 st Class master’s degree
• Two years research experience in related subject in reputed Institutes.
• Publication in peer reviewed journals
• Knowledge of computer application / data management

2 Scientist – II

Rs. 41,396/- + HRA

(i) 1st Class Master’s degree in Bioinformatics / Life Sciences / Biochemistry/Biotechnology / Microbiology from a recognized university

or

2nd Class Master’s degree in Bioinformatics / Life Sciences + Ph.D. degree in relevant subject from a recognized university

(ii) Four years R&D experience in the related subject after obtaining essential qualification (i)

In case of non-availability of Scientist – II the post will be filled as Scientist-I with essential qualification mentioned for Scientist-I position above.

• Doctorate in related subject with 1 st class Master’s degree
• Additional Post-doctoral research experience in relevant subject
• Publication in peer reviewed journals
• Knowledge of computer application / data management

Not exceeding 40 years

One year

1. Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PH Candidates will be as per the government rules.
2. Qualification/degree should be from a reputed Institution/University.
3. Mere fulfilling the essential qualification/experience does not guarantee for selection.
4. Canvassing in any form will be a disqualification.
5. No TA/DA will be paid either for attending the interview or joining the post.  
6. Persons already in regular time scale service under any Government Department / Organizations are not eligible

Candidates must bring along with them all the relevant documents in original and one set of attested photocopies of the same and one passport size recent colour photograph.
