An walk-in-interview will be conducted on 28 June 2013 (Friday) at 11:00 a.m. at Human Genetics Unit, Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata for recruitment of one (01) Project linked person purely on temporary basis to work in the project titled "Significance of mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) mutations in the progression of normal epithelium cell to leukoplakia and cancer in oral cavity" in the Human Genetics Unit of the Institute, Kolkata.
Qualifications Masters degree with consistently good academic record in Biochemistry/Biophysics/Genetics/Biotechnology. Candidate having experience in handling sophisticated instruments used in molecular genetics work will be preferred.
Pay 18000/- (Rupees eighteen thousand only) per month (Consolidated).
Job Description To assist Investigator for regular molecular genetics and cell biology experiments.
Tenure of appointment The appointment is upto 31 March 2014 from the date of his/her joining the institute which may be extended later/terminated earlier based on performance and availability of the required fund.
Age 35 years as on 01 June 20 13. Age may be relaxed for SC/ ST/ OBC/ Women and differently abled and extremely experienced and meritorious candidates.
Candidates appearing at the interview will be required to bring their current resume (signed) in English along with covering letter addressed to the Professor-in-Charge, Biological Sciences Division and giving particulars of (a) Name (In block letters), (b) Mailing Address, (c) E-mail Address, (d) Telephone/Mobile No., (e) Father's/Husband's Name, (f) Date of birth, (g) Academic Qualifications (with percentage of marks obtained in each examination), (h) Experience (if any), (i) SC/ST/OBC/Differently abled status along with originals and attested copies of all documents/testimonials.
