Applications are invited from Indian nationals for the post of a Research Assistant for a DBT sponsored project in the Department of Biological Sciences, IISER-Kolkata. The candidate will work in the laboratory of Dr. Rupak Datta and is expected to design and execute routine experiments in the area of molecular biology and biochemistry e.g. cloning, enzyme assays etc. The position is initially for a period of one year and may be extended on a yearly basis for the duration of the project based on satisfactory performance.
Eligibility Criteria:
Essential: B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in Biochemistry, Biotechnology or Microbiology from any recognized University with minimum 60% marks in the last appeared exam. At least 6 months experience in working in a research laboratory.
Desirable: Adequate knowledge of molecular biology, cell culture and biochemical techniques.
Salary: The candidate will receive a consolidated salary of Rs. 8000 per month.
