Applications are invited from the qualified candidates for the following project positions in the Department of Biotechnology/Ministry of Earth Sciences (MoES), Government of India sponsored projects. “Inventory and bioprospecting of spirochetes of marine habitats of India” is sponsored by DBT and “Marine anaerobic bacterial diversity for the production of antimicrobials (Development of potential drugs from sea)” is sponsored by MoES. Interested candidates are requested to send their applications to the Principal Investigator to reach on or before 10-08-13 and attend (only those candidates who strictly meet the qualifications) an interview on 13-08-2013 at 3PM in the Head room at the address given above. Applicants with applications only in the prescribed proforma (attached with the advertisement) and meeting the eligibility qualifications will be interviewed.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. Only eligible candidates are required to apply.
2. The contract is purely temporary and is till the completion of the project.
3. JRF/SRF candidate admitted in the scheme is expected to join the Ph. D programme at JNTUH.
4. Candidates have to fully devote their time for the project work and are not allowed to join any other course (part/ full time) or take up any part time work
5. Since JNT University does not have any hostel facility, no hostel accommodation can be provided for selected candidates.
6. The upper age limit for JRF shall be 28 years (for SRF 32 years) as on the day on which the application is made. The upper age limit is relaxable upto 5 years in the case of candidates belonging to scheduled castes/tribes/OBC; and women, and physically handicapped candidates.
7. Appointment will be on contract basis and is purely temporary and will be initially for a period of one year, extendable, depending on the progress of the work till the completion of the project.
8. Candidates who wish to leave the project in between have to inform the PI in writing at least 3 months before or till other personnel is employed in the project, whichever is earlier.
9. Selection will be made purely as per the DBT, MoES and University guidelines subject to approval by DBT & MoES.
10. No TA/ DA will be paid for either attending the interview or while joining the project.

Selection is based on the performance in the interview for which candidates have to appear before the selection committee in the chambers of Head,CEN,Institute of Science and Technology, Kukatpally, JNTU, with all relevant documents/certificates in original.
14. Selected candidate is expected to join immediately.
15. If any false information is provided by the candidates and are found guilty, necessary action will be taken and the candidate has to refund all the payments made to them.
