Institute of Bioresources and Sustainable Development (IBSD), Imphal, a research institute under Department of Biotechnology, Govt. of India, invites applications from the suitable candidates for the following position for its extramural research project funded by Science & Engineering Research Board under Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India . Prescribed application format is available at the Institute’s website or from the receptionist of the Institute. Duly fill in application form along with photo copies of attested certificate / testimonials in support of age and educational qualifications with recent self attested passport size photograph of the candidate may be submitted to the undersigned on or before 19th October, 2013 during Office hour. Only eligible / short listed candidates will be intimated for an interview before the selection committee. The selection procedure will be strictly adhered to Govt. of India norms.
1. Molecular mechanism of melatonin biosynthesis in the pineal, retina and gut in the context of regulation of ovarian functions in carp Catla catla.

Rs. 16,000/- p.m. + 10% HRA for 1st & 2nd year Rs. 18,000/- p.m. + 10% HRA for 3rd year for NET / GATE / equivalent Qualified candidates
OR
Rs. 12,000/- p.m. + 10% HRA for 1st & 2nd year Rs. 14,000/- p.m. + 10% HRA for 3rd year M.Sc. or equivalent degree in Life Sciences / Zoology / Fishery / Animal Sciences / Physiology / Biotechnology or any relevant discipline with at least 55% marks.
(Preferences may be given to those NET/GATE / equivalent qualify candidates.)
1. The above positions are purely temporary and co- terminus with the project. The selected candidates shall not claim for regular appointment either to IBSD, Imphal, RCIBSD, Sikkim or DBT, New Delhi.
2. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
3. The name of the position applied should be clearly written on the front of the envelope.
4. Application form must accompany degree certificate and marksheet which is essential for preliminary screening. Failure to enclose these documents with application will result in direct rejection of the application form.
5. The upper age limit for JRF shall be 28 years which is relaxed upto 5 years in case of candidates belonging to SC/ ST, Women, Physically Challenged and OBCs.
