WALK -IN INTERVIEW (Unreserved under GCP and BMZ Project)
The Head, Division of Genetics, IARI, New Delhi intends to recruit the outstanding personnel for post of Senior Research Fellow and Field Assistant in the following externally funded projects purely on contractual basis. Details of the position are given below:
1. Molecular breeding and selection strategies to combine and validate QTLs for improving WUE and heat tolerance of wheat in India (GCP)
PI: Dr. K. V. Prabhu, Head
SRF
16,000/- + 30% HRA
Essential: 60% or more marks in M.Sc. Plant Breeding/ Plant Biotechnology/ Genetics/ Ag. Botany
Desirable: Research experience in molecular marker technology and knowledge of computer applications.
2. Increasing the productivity of the wheat crop under conditions of rising temperatures and water scarcity in South Asia (CIMMYT & BMZ)
PI: Dr. K V Prabhu, Head
Field Assistant (For assistance in field and lab work) - Two
Rs 10,000/- Consolidated
Essential: Matriculation with good academic record.
Desirable: Experience of working in field and lab
Age limit: Maximum age 35 years for SRF and 30 years for field assistant (age relaxation of five years for SC/ST & women and three years for OBC).
The post is purely temporary and will be filled on contractual basis up to November, 2014, but may be extended further based on the performance of the candidate or till the termination of the project whichever is earlier. The candidate shall not claim regular appointment at this Institute, as the post is co-terminus with the project. The interview of eligible candidates will be held on 07 November at 10.00 A.M. in the Chamber of Head, Division of Genetics, IARI, New Delhi 110012.
The candidates will have to bring a copy of bio-data (signed), original certificates, and self attested photocopies of all the required certificates from matriculation onwards and an attested copy of recent passport size photograph. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview. Only the candidates having essential qualifications would be entertained for the interview. It may be noted that M.Sc. degree certificate either original or provisional is essential to be brought while attending the interview. The candidate intending to visit for interview, if any of his near or distant relative is an employee of the ICAR/IARI, have to declare his/her name, designation, nature of duties, relationship in writing so as to reach by 31st October 2013. If on the date of interview such declaration is furnished and found that his relative is an employee of ICAR/IARI, such candidate will not be allowed for interview.
