Applications are invited on prescribed format for the following assignment in a purely time bound research project undertaken in the Department of Life Science of the Institute.
1. Name of the Temporary Post: Senior Research Fellow- 01
2. Name of the Research Project : “Diversity and synthesis of immunoglobulin in the Indian Major Carps”
3. Name of the Sponsoring Agency : NFBSFARA, Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR)
4 Tenure of the Project : 04 years
5 Tenure of the Assignment: 3.5 years (based on the performance) OR completion of the project, whichever is earlier
6 Job Description : To carry out research work & experiments related to the project and to continue Ph.D. in Life Science on the topic of this project.
7. Consolidated monthly compensation / Fellowship : Rs.16,000/- P.M. (for 1st & 2nd year with 10% yearly increment) Rs.18,000/- P.M.(for 3rd and 4th year with 10% yearly increment)
8. Essential Qualifications and experience : M.Sc./ M.Tech/ M.F.Sc/ M.V.Sc (OR equivalent) in Life Science/ Microbiology/ Biochemistry/ Molecular Biology/ Biotechnology/ Zoology/ Animal Science/ Fisheries/ Aquaculture/ Bioinformatics or related subjects with 60% of marks or 6.5 CGPA in 10 point scale.
Candidates with successful score in GATE or NET of UGC/CSIR/ICMR/DBT/ICAR (Lectureship/JRF) will be given preference.
Relaxation in GATE may be given to the outstanding experienced candidates.
9. Desirable Qualifications/ Experiences: Research experience or knowledge in fish biology, disease and immune responses/ molecular biology/ animal cell culture and blotting techniques are preferred.
10. Accommodation: Bachelor accommodation in the hostel will be provided and Campus accommodation may be provided to married students subject to availability. (campus stay is compulsory)
