JUIT, Waknaghat invites applications for 1 Junior Research Fellow (JRF) for research and development work in DBT sponsored project on bioleaching and metal recovery from electronic waste JRF position in DBT sponsored project on, “Bioremediation of electronic waste (Ewaste) for precious metal recovery and removal of polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE’s)"
PI: Dr. Sudhir Kumar, Associate Professor, Department of Biotechnology and Bioinformatics, Jaypee University of Information Technology, Waknaghat, Solan – 173234. Himachal Pradesh.
Scholarship: @ 18000 per month
Desirable qualifications and experience: First class M.Tech/M.Sc. (Biotechnology/Microbiology/Life Sciences) (Preferably NET/GATE qualified) and experience in microbiological techniques.
Duration: Three years
Job Description: Microbial metal mobilization process and recovery of precious metals (e.g.-Au, Ag, Pt, Pd) from E-waste and elucidation of bioleaching mechanisms and to develop an integrated scale up process.

TA/DA will not be paid for attending the interview. The selected candidate will be allowed to register for Ph.D degree at JUIT, Waknaghat.
