Bio prospection of Lichens | Mizoram University RA/SRF/JRF Openings

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for Junior Research Fellow (JRF)/ Senior Research Fellow (SRF)/ Research Associate (RA) for CSIR, New Delhi funded Major Research Project on ‘Characterization, Documentation and Bio prospection of Lichens from Murlen National Park, Mizoram’. Duration of the project is three years (2014-2017).

The applicants should have good academic records.

The essential minimum qualification for aforesaid research position is M.Sc. in Botany/ Forestry/ Agriculture/ HAMP/ Environmental Science/ Life Sciences/ Biochemistry/ M. Pharma or related subjects. NET/GATE qualification will be essential for the appointment of JRF. Lecturership (NET) qualified candidates will also be eligible for JRF. Candidates with NET/GATE having two years of post-M.Sc. research experience as evidenced from published papers are eligible for SRF. PhD degree is the minimum qualification for the appointment of RA. The amount of Fellowship will be as: RA (Rs. 22, 000/- pm plus HRA), SRF (Rs.14, 000/- pm plus HRA), JRF (Rs.12, 000/- pm plus HRA) and will be as per CSIR rules.

Research/ Project /Field/ Technical Assistant (part time only) - One (01) post, Emolument: Rs.12,000/- pm (consolidated). Candidates having M.Sc degree, with or without NET/GATE certificate/ experiences, in Botany/ Forestry/ Agriculture/ HAMP/ Environmental Science/ Life Sciences/ Biochemistry or related subjects will be preferred.

The appointment will be purely on temporary basis and co-terminus with the project. No TA/DA will be paid to the candidates, if called for interview.
