Applications are invited for the following post under the DST-CEFIPRA funded advanced
collaborative research project titled “The Immuno-Psychiatry in South India Study (IPS): Immunogenetic and Immuno-phenotype Characterization of Major Psychoses”
Senior Research Fellow: No. of posts – 2
Duration: Time bound for a period of 1 year (likely to be extended beyond 1 year based on performance).
The post is purely temporary in nature, co-terminus with the project.
Educational Qualification: M. Sc. (Biotechnology/ Immunology/ Molecular Biology/ Genetics), M. Tech (Biotechnology)
Experience: Two years’ research experience in molecular biology/ immunology in an institution of national repute is essential.
Age Limit: The upper age limit is 32 years as on 1st June 2014
DESIRABLE: CSIR/ ICMR/ DBT/ UGC – NET JRF/ GATE qualification is desirable. Candidates with experience in PCR, RT-PCR, FACS, DNA sequencing, multiplexing and a strong background in biostatistics and bioinformatics will be given preference.
Salary: Consolidated salary of Rs. 18,000/- + 20% HRA as per DST guidelines.
NOTE: The SRF is expected to travel frequently to and coordinate work between the collaborating laboratories at JIPMER (Pondicherry) and CBST, VIT University (Vellore).
