Eligible candidates may appear for Walk-in-interview on 08th August 2014 for four posts of Senior Research Fellow (SRF) / Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in following projects at the Davison of Microbiology, IARI, New Delhi – 110012

Project 1: “Genome-wide mining of genes/alleles for salinity tolerance from halophilic archaea” funded by Department of Biotechnology, Government of India.

14,000 + 30% HRA in case of M.Sc with two years of research experience (SRF) OR
` 12,000 + 30% HRA in case of M.Sc with Nil experience (JRF)

Essential: M.Sc. Microbiology/Biotechnology with minimum 60% marks and two years of research experience for 14,000.00 fellowship (SRF) or nil experience for 12,000.00 fellowship (JRF)

Desirable: Two years experience in the area of Next Generation Genome Sequencing, Transcriptome sequencing, gene cloning and expression studies. Candidates with NET/GATE/BET will be preferred

Essential: M.Sc. in Bioinformatics/Computer with minimum 60% marks and two years of research experience for ` 14,000.00 fellowship or nil experience for ` 12,000.00 fellowship

Desirable: Minimum one year of experience in analysis of Next Generation Sequencing Data, Knowledge of Linux based analysis and Cloud computing. Candidates with NET/GATE/BET will be preferred

Project 2: Metabolic Engineering opportunities for enhanced production of biofules through microbes, funded under ICAR network project on AMAAS

16,000 + 30% HRA

Essential: M.Sc. Microbiology/Molecular Biology/Biochemical Engineering with minimum 60% marks.

Desirable: Microbiological, molecular biology techniques, bioinformatics tools and fermentation, handling of analytical equipments and good knowledge of computers

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. AGE: The upper age limit is 35 years; relaxation to SC/ST/OBC/PH/Ex-Serviceman as per the Govt. of India instructions.
2. No objection and experience certificate from the employer in case he/she is in employment.
3. The interview will be held on 08th August 2014 (reporting time 9.30-11.30 am) at Division of Microbiology, IARI, Pusa Campus, New Delhi-110012. Candidates reaching after the specified timing will not be entertained
4. The period of engagement of SRF/JRF will be initially upto 31.3.2015. However, appointment is likely to be extended further.
5. Position is purely time bound, non-regular and on co-terminus basis with the project. Appointment can be terminated on one month’s notice. The selected candidate shall have no legal right to claim regularization by absorption or otherwise against any regular posts or any further contractual engagement on termination of the Project.
6. Candidates should appear for interview with a copy of bio-data (strictly in the format attached), photographs and original testimonials.
7. Canvassing in any form will disqualify the candidature. The Director’s decision will be final and binding in all respects.
