CSIR-CFTRI invites eligible candidates to appear for a Walk-in-Interview for a position of Junior Research Fellow on a temporary contractual basis in the research project entitled "Finnish-Indian Ingredients for improving food safety and health" (GAP-0442) funded by Ministry of Science & Technology, Department of Biotechnology, Government of India, New Delhi tenable at the Department of Food Protectants & Infestation Control (FP&IC), CSIR-CFTRI, Mysore.

Junior Research Fellow 1 (One)

First Class M. Sc, in Biotechnology/Biochemistry/ Microbiology/Food Technology with good academic records and should have been qualified for Lectureship in National Eligibility Test conducted by CSIR-UGC.

Rs.16,000 per month plus HRA as per DBT-CSIR Rules.

Terms & Conditions:

  1. Candidates who have not passed National Eligibility Test (NET) may not attend the interview.
  2. Candidates should not have exceeded 28 years of age as on 15-July-2014, i.e. the date of walk-in-interview for the position.
  3. The engagement of JRF is exclusively for the above mentioned project.
  4. The engagement will be contractual and on purely temporary basis in the research project funded by Ministry of Science & Technology, Department of Biotechnology, Government of India (GAP-0442) for a period from July, 2014 to December, 2015 and is co-terminus with the project, if the project terminates earlier.
  5. The engagement under externally funded project does not confer any right/claim whatsoever either explicitly or implicitly on the appointee for regular appointment in CSIR/CFTRI, against any post or otherwise under any legal conditions precedent.
  6. No TA/DA will be paid to the candidates for attending the interview.
  7. Age limit shall be relaxable for statutory groups and women as per rule.

Interested eligible candidates may appear for walk-in-interview with Bio-data along with original and attested copies of testimonials on 15-JULY-2014 at 11.00 A.M. in the TTBD Conference Hall, CSIR-CFTRI, Mysore. In case, large number of candidates turn up for the interview, the candidates will be short-listed by a duly constituted Screening/Selection Committee and only short-listed candidates would be interviewed.
