Applications are invited for the post of a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) (1 No.)/Project Assistant (1No.) to be appointed under DBT Twinning programme for NE’ titled “Design of Artificial Hand with Artificial Fingers” funded by Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India, sanctioned to Mr. Nitin Sahai, Assistant Professor, Department of Biomedical Engineering, North-Eastern Hill University, Shillong 793022 for a period of three years from the date of its sanction.
Candidates are requested to send their latest resume through email/post with details of their educational qualifications, full address, telephone number and e-mail address to the undersigned on or before 15th October 2014 and date of interview scheduled on 28th October 2014 at Office, Department of Biomedical Engineering, North Eastern Hill University, Shillong-793022, Meghalaya.
Qualification:
For JRF/Project Fellow: M.Tech.(Biomedical Engineering/Orthotics & Prosthetics/Biomechanics/Rehabilitation/Manufacturing), Master in Orthotics & Prosthetic or in relevant branch with a good knowledge in the field of design, microcontroller and fabrication of artificial limbs, preference may be given to NET/GATE/BET/BINC/Professional Course qualified candidates.
For Project Assistant: B.Tech.(Biomedical Engineering/ECE/Electrical Engineering/Mechatronics/Robotics)/Diploma in Orthotics & Prosthetics having knowledge and experience of fabrication of artificial limbs and in relevant area.
Emoluments:
For JRF/Project Fellow: The emoluments shall be Rs. 16,000/- + 10% HRA for the 1st
two years as a JRF and Rs. 18,000/- + 10% HRA per month for the 3rd year as a SRF and applicable, only if the JRF/SRF is NET/GATE/BET/BINC/ Professional Course qualified, otherwise it shall be Rs. 12,000/- + 10% HRA per month for the 1st two years as a Project Fellow and Rs. 14,000/-+ 10% HRA per month for the 3rd year. No T.A or D.A will be paid to attend the interviewFor Project Assistant: Consolidated Rs. 8,000/- per month.
