Research Associate

Rs. 22000, 23000 or 24000+ HRA (Depending on qualification and experience)

Master’s degree in Professional courses# plus three years research experience or Ph. D. degree in Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Agriculture, Plant Sciences, Botany, Genetics, or Life Sciences

Cytological and histological study of plant samples, confocal microscopy, gene cloning, plant transformation

Senior Research Fellow

Rs 14000, 18000 or 20000 +HRA (as per i, ii, iii in the next column)

i) Master’s degree in basic sciences + NET qualification and two years research experience, or

ii) Graduate degree Professional courses + NET qualification and two years research experience

iii) Master’s degree in Professional course with two years research experience Gene cloning, plant transformation, cytology

ICAR-NPTC funded project: Fusarium wilt resistance and drought tolerance in chickpea (PI: Dr Srinivasan)

Senior Research Fellow

Rs. 18,000 + 30% HRA

M.Sc. in Molecular Biology/Biotechnology/Bioinformatics/Life Sciences with minimum of 60% marks

Working Experience: One year or more in different Molecular Biology Techniques and Bioinformatics Gene mapping, cloning and handling of the NGS data.* These emoluments are likely to be revised as per the DST Office Memorandum SR/S9/Z-09/2012 dated 21-10-2014

# Professional Courses are those with Four Years Bachelor’s degree followed by Master’s
degree

The interview will be held on 28th November 2014 at 10 AM at NRCPB, LBS Building, Pusa Campus, and New Delhi-110012. A preliminary screening written test may be held (for SRF) and hence candidates should report for interview at 10 AM at NRC on Plant Biotechnology

Terms and Conditions

Age Limit: 35 years max. (5 years relaxation for SC/ST/OBC and woman candidates as per
ICAR rules).
 The post is purely temporary and initially offered for one year.
 The candidates must bring four copies of biodata (strictly in the format attached) along
with original certificates and self-attested photocopies of each of the documents/certificates
and one recent passport size photograph.
 No TA/DA would be given for appearing in the interview.
 Only the candidates having essential qualifications would be considered for the interview.
 The decision of the Project Director of this Institute will be final and binding in all aspects.
