APPLICATIONS ARE INVITED FOR RESEARCH ASSOCIATE/RESEARCH SCIENTIST POSITIONS

The DRDO BU-CLS was established as a joint venture by DRDO, Bharathiar University and the Government of Tamil Nadu at Bharathiar University campus. The centre was established with the objective to engage in advance areas of research in life sciences and multidisciplinary areas which are relevant to defence. The centre has very good infrastructure with high end analytical instrumentation facilities, well equipped laboratories for multidisciplinary research.

Applications are invited from young and motivated candidates for the posts of Research Associate/Research Scientist/ as per details given below:

With minimum of two years of post-doctoral experience in relevant field with peer reviewed publication in indexed journals or patents. Desirable-Experience in handling biothreat agents for Research Scientist Position.

** One Each for Research Associate and Research Scientist / *** With experience in synthesis and characterization of advanced materials. Desirable-Experience in handling analytical/characterization equipments..

The number of vacancies subject to change

a) The age limit is maximum of 35 years as on last date for the receipt of application. The age is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC candidates.

b) Selection will be through interview of shortlisted candidates. Fellowship Fellowship for Research Associate will be fixed at Rs.24,000/pm + HRA as per university norms. However, higher slab will be considered for deserving candidates with experience/publication/patents.

1. Only candidates who have completed the course and awarded degree/provisional certificate are eligible to apply.

4. The last date for receipt of application at DRDO-BU CLS, Coimbatore is 27 th February 2015. (Application through courier will not be accepted)

5. Candidates will be required to produce all certificates/testimonials, community certificate, if applicable, in original during interview. They must also bring set of attested photocopies of all testimonials along with two recent color passport size photographs (other than the one pasted on the application form) during interview.

6. The tenure is for a period of 2 years.

7. The position does not confer any right for absorption in DRDO under any circumstances.

8. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview or for joining, if selected.
