Description: As there exist a gap between the human resource produced by our academia and the expectation of the Research Investigators, we intend to impart hands on training in Gene expression analysis by real time qPCR for undergraduates, postgraduates and research scholars of life sciences discipline. The objective of the workshop is to equip the life science students with essential technical skills to fulfill the demands of industries and research institutions for better career prospects by providing hands on training in few areas of molecular biology. This workshop forms part of Molecular pathology which is a scientific discipline that deals with study and development of molecular and genetic approaches to disease diagnosis.
Course Content
Day 1:
Introduction to PCR & Real Time PCR.
RNA Extraction.
cDNA Synthesis (Reverse Transcription).
Day 2:
Real Time qPCR—Relative Quantification.
Real Time qPCR— Absolute Quantification.
Primer Design & BLAST analysis.
Day 3:
Analysis of Gene Expression by both
Relative and Absolute quantification methods
