NATIONAL BRAIN RESEARCH CENTRE (NBRC) invites application for the position of “Research Scientist (Project)” in a Deity funded project entitled “National Programme on Perception Engg.- Phase II for Technology development for early diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease from visuospatial perception profile using functional magnetic resonance imaging”
Applications are invited for the position of Research Scientist (Project) in the laboratory of Prof. Pravat K. Mandal at National Brain Research Centre, Manesar, India. The primary scientific interest of the lab is to identify early in vivo biomarkers for neurodegenerative disorders, particularly Alzheimer’s disease. The lab uses multi-modal neuroimaging techniques, i.e. magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), functional MRI (fMRI), and magnetic resonance spectroscopy (MRS) and MEG data to investigate the associated structural, functional, and neurochemical brain alterations, respectively. Interested candidates fulfilling the following requirement can submit duly filled-in application as per attached format and bio-data alongwith self-attested copies of certificates in support of their qualifications and experience by speed-post addressed to the “Registrar, National Brain Research Centre, Nainwal Mode, Manesar - 122 051, Distt- Gurgaon (Haryana)”. Emoluments ` 57,000/- p.m. (consolidated) (No other allowances are applicable).
Essential qualification Ph.D. in Physics / Chemistry / Biological Science or M Tech. (Electrical / Electronic with two years’ research experience.
Minimum 60% marks from matriculation onwards. Mandatory requirement Statement of Purpose (SOP) (minimum 500 words) indicating your research interests/expertise and your Ph.D. or M. Tech. project.
Candidate should indicate how his / her experience / expertise will help ongoing research activities of the Neuroimaging and Neurospectroscopy laboratory.
Candidate without SOP will not be shortlisted. Excellent scientific communication and writing skills is required.
