ReplyDeleteNormally very less chances of changing the key.
But the answer of q. No.78 is surely kinesin 1. So why won't they change answer key
ReplyDeleteThey have to change. But chances are less.
ReplyDeleteFor question 63, option 1 is the correct option. Both 1 and 3 are fully resolved trees. But only option 1 is phylogram. Option 3 is cladogram. The question clearly states a fully resolved phylogram. I hope this clears the doubt ☺
ReplyDeleteA phylogram is a branching diagram (tree) that is assumed to be an estimate of a phylogeny. The branch lengths are proportional to the amount of inferred evolutionary change.
ReplyDeleteA cladogram is a branching diagram (tree) assumed to be an estimate of a phylogeny where the branches are of equal lengths. Therefore, cladograms show common ancestry but do not indicate the amount of evolutionary time separating taxa. The term 'Cladogram' usually emphasizes that the diagram represents a hypothesis about the actual evolutionary history of a group.
Dendrograms are informal cladograms. They are not intended as hypotheses but rather as speculative phylogenies and are usually considered as informal super trees.
if any student who opted out not to attempt the questions you above mentioned because of dual answers in the options ,then what will be criteria of marks awarding of those question? marks all to
