Announcement of
IARI Innovative Farmer and IARI Fellow Awards, 2018
In order to recognize the outstanding contributions of innovative farmers for initiatives in
development, adoption, modification and dissemination of improved technologies and practices
and increased income with sustainability, the IARI awards are announced.
Single application may be sent for consideration for both the award. Around 20 to 25
deserving farmers are to be awarded with the "IARI Innovative Farmer".Out of the selected
farmers, only 3-4 outstanding farmers will be considered for "IARI Fellow"award, a higher degree
award. The awards carry a certificate and citation. It is to be given during Krishi Unnati Mela, 9-
11 March, 2018.
An application with recent passport size photograph as per enclosed proforma may kindly
be sent to Dr. J.P. Sharma, Jt. Director (Extn.), IARI, New Delhi (Fax No. 011-25842387, E-mail:
jd_extn@iari.res.in latest by 31st January, 2018.
The farmers who will be finally selected for the awards will be provided with free lodging
and boarding facilities at the Institute during the mela. The travel expenses (limited to II Class AC
train / bus fare) of the farmers, who will be short-listed for the awards, will be met by IARI.
