WALK –IN-WRITTEN TEST / PERSONAL DISCUSSION
Desert Medicine Research Centre is a one of the 32 Institutes/Centres of Indian Council of Medical Research
(ICMR), an autonomous body under Department of Health, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of
India, New Delhi. DMRC was established in 1984 with the mandate to
Undertake and promote research on health problems specific to desert areas.
Study the changing patterns of health problems especially in view of various developmental activities
taking place in the region.
Strengthen the scientific and technical expertise of state as well as local health agencies.
The following posts are to be filled up on contract (purely temporary basis) for a maximum period of 11
months.
1). POST: Project Assistant: 03 posts (2-UR, 1-OBC).
Age Limit: Not exceeding, 30 years.
Salary: Rs. 31,000/- per month (Consolidated).
Essential Qualifications: : Graduate in Life Science from a recognized university with three years
work experience from a recognized institution or Master’s degree in Zoology/BioChemistry/Biotechnology/
Life Sciences from the recognized University.
2). POST: Field Worker/ Technician-III: 13 Posts (UR-6, ST-2, SC-2, OBC-3)
Salary: fixed emoluments @ Rs. 18000/- P.M.
Age: Below 30 years
Essential Qualifications : 12th pass in Science subjects and 2 years diploma (DMLT) or two years
field/laboratory experience* in Govt. recognized organization.
*B.Sc. degree (Life Science) shall be treated as 3 years experience
3). POST: Project Technician-II/Health Assistant: 5 Posts (3-UR, 1-ST, 1 OBC)
Salary: Rs. 17000/- PM (Consolidated)
Age Limit: Not exceeding: 28 years
Qualifications: 10th/Matric/High School/Equivalent with one year required experience from Govt. /recognized
Institute.
*12th Pass in Science Subject will be treated as two years experience and B.Sc. degree (Life Science/Biology)
shall be treated as 3 years experience.
4). POST: Project Technician-I: 2 Posts (UR).
Age: Not exceeding 25 years
Salary: Rs.16000/- P.M. (Consolidated)
Essential Qualifications: 10th /Matric/High School/equivalent with one year required experience from
government /recognized institute or with certificate of one year training in the relevant area or ITI or National
trade certificated issued by national council for vocational training and successful completion of ATS in
relevant trade from a Government recognized board.
12th Pass in Science Subject shall be treated as equivalent to 2 years experience
Responsibility:
The selected candidates have to work in one of the following projects or any other assigned work of the centre.
The candidates will be posted in any place of Rajasthan as and when required for field survey or any other
work. Field work could be 25 days in a month. He or she may be given the duties of laboratory and field work
as per requirement of the Centre.
1. Project:1 “Assessment of Iodine Status among Pregnant Women in Selected Districts of India l”
2. Project: 2 “Improving Health and Nutritional Status of Vulnerable Segment of Population by Implementing
Multi-Component Health and Nutrition Education Intervention as a sustainable model of Intervention- 4
district of Rajasthan” .
3. Project-3: Screening of Tribal Population in blocks having high prevalence for Sickle Cell Anaemia (SCA)
in Tribal Sub Plan Districts of Rajasthan and implementation of intervention/counselling with existing health
system (Phase II). The place of posting in this project may be at Jodhpur/Bansawra/Udaipur as per the need of
the project.
4. Project-4: Collaborative Project on "Strengthening State Non Communicable Disease Program for Early
Detection of Breast Cancer Involving Strategic Education and Awareness among Women.
Age Relaxation: Age relaxation for SC, ST and OBC candidates will be given against reserve posts in their
respective category as per Govt. Rules in force. Age concession to the extent of service rendered in other
research projects will also be admissible for experienced and skilled persons (experience certificated required
for screening).
Candidates possessing the above qualifications may come for Walk-in-Interview at DMRC Campus, Jodhpur.
If the number of eligible candidates are more than 30 a Walk in Personal Discussion and Written Test will be
conducted.

Those appearing for walk-in written test should bring with them (1) All Certificate/Testimonial in Original, (2)
One attested copy each of the Certificates/Testimonial and should report 30 minutes before on stipulated date
and time of Interview at DMRC, Jodhpur.
General conditions: The Appointment will be on contract basis and no other regular service benefits will be
admissible. The candidate will not have any right to claim for any regular employment at DMRC/ICMR etc.
No TA/DA will be paid for attending the Walk-in-Written Test/Interview.
