National Tea Research Foundation (NTRF) a registered body jointly set up by Tea Board, Tea Industry
and NABARD and recognized by Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR is a research
body functioning in the Tea Board since 1988. NTRF provides funds for innovative research on all
aspects of tea throughout the country in different renowned research institutes and universities. NTRF
was created at the initiative of the Ministry of Commerce, Govt. of India with a onetime subscription
from tea industry and a grant from NABARD to build a corpus.
Applications are invited for the post of Adviser, NTRF, C/O Tea Board of India, Kolkata, 14BTM
Sarani, Kolkata – 700001.

Qualifications
Ph. D. in Molecular Biology/ Biotechnology / Plant Breeding / Life
Science with work experience as senior level scientists at evident from
high quality research publications in peer reviewed journals.

Prior experiences in Tea research specialized in agro-aspects/
breeding/ plant protection/ soil research/ chemistry / biochemistry
with high quality research publications in peer reviewed journals.
Experienced in handling administrative work.
Duration Initially for 1 year.

Age Limit Not exceeding 65 years as on 01.10.2018
Emoluments Consolidated remuneration of Rs.53,000/- per month plus Rs.10,000/- per
month as Conveyance Allowance.
Other Entitlements In the exigency of the NTRF’s work if the candidate is deputed on official
tour for outstation, candidate will be entitled for necessary facilities as
applicable to the officials of NTRF. Entitlement of Casual Leave as per
norms of NTRF.

Terms & Conditions:
1. Date, time and venue of the interview will be intimated in due course to the shortlisted
candidates only.
2. The post is filled up only on purely temporary basis subject to the vacant w.e.f April, 2019
3. No TA/DA shall be given for attending the interview.
4. The decision of Competent Authority of NTRF shall be final.
5. Canvassing in any form will be a disqualification.
6. Prior application for the vacancy is required both hard copy and soft copy by e-mail upto 31st October, 2018.
7. No application shall be entertained after 31st October, 2018.
