A Walk-in-Interview for selection of a suitable candidate for the following time-bound
contractual JRF under the DBT Twinning project will be conducted at ICAR - Central Tuber
Crops Research Institute, Thiruvananthapuram on 19th November 2018 (Monday). Eligible
and desirous candidates fulfilling the requirements may appear for personal interview by
producing their certificates and testimonials (in original) from 09.30 AM onwards.
1. Junior Research Fellow
(JRF)
In the project entitled
“Gene expression
profiling of taro
(Colocasia esculenta L.

transcriptional activators
of epicuticular wax in
host resistance against
Phytophthora leaf blight
disease”
25,000 p.m. + HRA for
1st & 2nd Year, and
28,000 p.m. + HRA for
3rd year for NET
qualified candidates or
candidates with
professional degree.
2. 12,000 p.m. + HRA for
1st & 2nd Year, and
14,000 p.m. + HRA for
3rd year for the
candidates without NET
Essential: M.Sc.
(Agri./ Horti.)/ M.Sc.
Biotechnology/ Botany
Desirable:
i) Experience in plant
tissue culture and
molecular biology.
ii) Experience in
computer applications.
