2. (Vacancy No. 19070702213) One Scientist ‘B’ (Biology), Central Forensic Science Laboratory, Directorate of Forensic Science Services, Ministry of Home Affairs (UR-01). 

The post is suitable for Physically Challenged Persons viz. Deaf/Hard of Hearing Cat.-(b)/ Locomotor Disability / Cerebral Palsy/Leprosy Cured/ Dwarfism/ Acid Attack Victims and Muscular Dystrophy Cat.-(c) with disability i.e. Hard of Hearing (HH) or One leg affected (R or L) (OL). 

The post is permanent. 
Pay Scale: Level-10 in the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC. General Central Service, Group `A’, Gazetted NonMinisterial. 

Age: 35 years. 

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS : EDUCATIONAL: 

(A) Master’s Degree in Botany / Zoology / Microbiology / Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/ Physical Anthropology/ Forensic Science/ Genetics with Botany or Zoology as one of the subjects at Bachelor of Science level from a recognized University.

EXPERIENCE: Three years experience of analytical methods and research therein in the field of Bio-technology / Molecular Biology / working in DNA Laboratory in any Central Government or State Government organization or recognized research institute or Forensic Science Laboratory under the Central or State Government.

NOTE: Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission in case of candidates otherwise well qualified. 

DESIRABLE: Experience of working in a Forensic Science Laboratory. 

DUTIES: Crime Scene Management, Crime Case Examination, bestow expert testimony/de’facto in the courts of law on subject matter under the provision of Cr.P.C. and Indian Evidence Act/Information Technology Act, R&D activities on Forensic Activities and imparting training in their respective field of forensic specialization to the trainees from different investigating agencies / forensic science labs and other organizations. 

HQ: New Delhi with Laboratories at Kolkata, Chandigarh, Hyderabad, Bhopal, Guwahati & Pune. In connection with performing his duties the officer may be required to serve in any part of India.
