Profile Summary
​Microbial analysis and reporting of Dairy & Dairy products, Water, Feed, Food and Agricultural products. Quality Assurance in Microbiology laboratory.​
Key roles and Responsibility
​1.Carrying out pathogen and non-pathogen testing in food microbiology laboratory.
2.Handling and maintanence of pure cultures & its documentation.
3.Maintaining Laboratory Quality Management System as per ISO/ IEC- 17025 and ISO/ IEC- 17043 requirements in microbiology laboratory.
4.Assure quality in microbiology testing with effective quality control programs.
5.Supervise the analytical work of Trainee/Scientist/Technician in Microbiology section.
6.Impart training in Microbiology.
7.Proper handling and maintenance of sophisticated instruments.
8.Usage & proper storage of CRM/SRM.
9.Ensure good housekeeping, safety and maintain required environmental conditions as per test method.
10.Method development followed by required method validation and verification as per National and International regulations.
11.Conduct proficiency testing as per ISO 17043:2010.
12.Estimate Measurement Uncertainty of respective test parameters.
13.Ensure calculations & data transfer in a systematic manner.​
Qualification & Experience
​The candidate should have a Master's degree in Microbiology (Dairy/Food/Industrial/General)
The candidate should have at least 2 years of experience in microbiological analysis for dairy, food, feed and water for various bacteriological parameters including pathogens in a food testing laboratory.
Desirable:
Candidates with prior work experience in NABL accredited food testing microbiology laboratory as per ISO-17025 and attended training programmes on rapid microbiology testing and ISO 17025:2017.​

​Technical:
1.Quantitative (non-pathogen) testing of food/feed/water samples by ISO/IS and rapid techniques like TEMPO,3M etc.
2.Pathogen testing of food/feed/water samples by IS/ISO and rapid Techniques like VIDAS,3M,PCR etc.
3.Various quality control techniques, GLP in Microbiology.
4.Regulatory limits and method of analysis as per the regulation of FSSAI/BIS/EIC/APEDA/Codex/EU etc. for milk and milk products, water and food.
5.Estimation of Uncertainty of Measurement (UoM) for microbiological parameters.
6.Performance evaluation of Microbiological media, reagents,     Bacterial cultures, equipments etc.
7.Good knowledge on LQMS as per ISO 17025 and ISO 17043.
8.Computer knowledge.
