Hands-on-Workshop
on RNA-seq Library Preparation and Data Analysis:
5th-7th February 2020: Call for Applications
IBAB is organizing a three-day
hands-on workshop on RNA sequencing (RNA-seq) using Illumina Next Generation
Sequencing (NGS) approach from the 5h
to 7th February 2020. The workshop combines both experimental and
computational aspects of NGS. The focus is on (1) the preparation of libraries
from poly-A mRNA, with critical discussions on experimental design and quality
control checks, and (2) RNA-seq data analysis using ‘R’ tools.
Target Participants:
The course is aimed at researchers,
technicians who wish to employ genomic approaches in their work. Ph.D.
scholars/postdoctoral fellows/JRFs/faculty involved in relevant research are
eligible to apply. The course is beneficial to also those pursuing B.Sc./
B.Tech./ M.Sc./ M.Tech. in Biotechnology/Life Sciences/ Microbiology/
Biosciences/ Bioinformatics who wish to apply NGS technology. Teachers from
undergraduate and postgraduate teaching institutions and research
institutes across the state of Karnataka are also encouraged to apply to
the workshop.
