Applications are invited from candidates on a plain paper for the post of one JRF/Project fellow to work on the time-bound DST-SERB funded EEQ research project undertaken in the Wildlife Research Laboratory, Department of Zoology, M L S University, Udaipur, (Raj.).

Name of the project Resource partitioning of three sympatric Ibis species (Red-naped, Black-headed and Glossy) in Udaipur district, Rajasthan: diet, habitat and landscape selection across seasons Description: The project aims to estimate resource partitioning among three sympatric ibis species. The focus will be on the different objectives like distribution, density, diet similarities, foraging, roosting and breeding along with mapping, and recording behaviours over a period of three years. The work involves intensive field and lab work. The candidate has to spent long hours in the field conducting surveys in entire Udaipur district.

Minimum Qualification 

A. For JRF: M. Sc. (Wildlife Biology/Zoology) with NET/GATE. 

For PF: M.Sc. (Wildlife Biology/Zoology) with at least 55% marks B. For JRF: The selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER etc. 

Desirable: Candidate having experience with field work in tropical area with different seasonal conditions, GIS based analyses, 2 or 4 wheeler driving ability(license plus experience), spoken knowledge of Hindi/Rajasthani. 

Fellowship/Monthly compensation 

 for JRF: 31,000/month+HRA (I& II year) and 34,000/month+HRA (III year)  For PF: 21,700/month+HRA (I& II year) and 24,800/month+HRA (III year)  HRA will be given as per university norms.

Tenure The position is temporary and renewable each year subject to satisfactory performance for a maximum of three years. The position is co-terminus with the project.
