Applications are invited from the interested candidates for a temporary post of Junior Research
Fellow (JRF) to work in the ongoing research project sponsored by SERB, Department of Science and
Technology, Govt. of India.
Details of project, qualification, and emoluments:
Project Title Characterization and validation of tyrosine aminotransferase from
Leishmania donovani as a potential drug target
Tenure of the project 3 years
Essential Qualification
B.E/ B.Tech/ or Equivalent degree in Biotechnology / Biochemical
Engineering/ Biomedical Engineering/ Industrial Biotechnology
ME / M. Tech in Biotechnology /Industrial Biotechnology/ Biochemical
Engineering/ Biomedical Engineering /Computational Biology / Medical
Biotechnology
M. Sc. in Life Sciences/ Biotechnology / Biochemistry / Microbiology /
Botany / Zoology / Bioinformatics with valid GATE/DBTJRF/ICMR/UGC./CSIR/DST-INSPIRE score
Desired qualifications Prior knowledge/experience in Molecular biology techniques, Protein
expression/Purification/ cell culture techniques
Emoluments
Rs. 31,000/- pm for t h e first 2 years and 35,000/- pm for the third
year. HRA as per institute rules. The selected candidate is also eligible for
on-campus Hostel & Mess facilities, subject to availability.
Job Requirements
The selected candidates need to work for the progress of the project by
performing experiments in Cell culture, Molecular cloning, Gel
electrophoresis, Protein purification, etc. and Preparation of research
reports.
Other Benefits The selected candidates are eligible to register for PhD degree at NIT,
Warangal as per institute rules.
