Institute of Life Sciences (ILS), Bhubaneswar, an autonomous institute of the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of
Science & Technology, Government of India invites applications from Indian Nationals to join in the following position.
Project: Proposal for Establishing a Bio-repository for COVID 19 Viral and Clinical Samples.’
Name of position:
1. Research Associate-I (01 position)
2. Technical Assistant (02 positions)
3. Data Entry Operator (01 position)
Fellowship/ Emolument:
1. Research Associate-I: Rs. 47,000/- + @ 16% HRA
2. Technical Assistant: Rs. 20,000/- + @ 16% HRA
3. Data Entry Operator: Rs. 31,000/- (Fixed)
Eligibility:
1. Research Associate-I: Candidates having Ph.D. in any branch of Life Sciences are eligible to apply. Research
experience in Virology, cell biology, microbiology, and infectious disease biology will be preferred.
Candidate with
first author paper in peer-reviewed journals (PubMed listed) will be preferred.
Candidates who have submitted Ph.D.
thesis and are waiting for viva voce may also apply. For such candidates, fellowship amount will be that of SRF
until he/she defends Ph.D. thesis.
2. Technical Assistant: Candidates having a B.Sc. or equivalent qualification in Life Sciences or allied subjects such
as Biochemistry/ Biotechnology/ Bioinformatics/ Microbiology, etc. are eligible to apply. Preference will be given
to candidates having experience in working in the research laboratory.
3. Data Entry Operator: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/ IT/Computer application are eligible to apply.
Candidates should have a computer speed of 15000 keys/ hr.
Selection will be carried out through application screening, followed by an interview process.

drdas@ils.res.in. Incomplete applications and applications without the above-mentioned documents will be rejected.
The selected candidate will not have any right to claim explicit or implicit for any post in the Institute of Life Sciences.
Only names of shortlisted candidates will be published on the Institute website and a separate call letter will not be issued.
No TA/DA will be given for attending the interview. The decision of the Director regarding the selection of the candidates
will be final and no correspondence will be entertained in this regard.
