A Walk-in-Interview will be held on 4th January, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at the Unified
Campus of Bose Institute, Block-EN, Plot No. -80, Sector-V, Salt Lake City, Kolkata 700 091 for
four (04) positions of Project Associate-II and three (03) positions of Senior Project Associate
for different intramural projects. The positions are purely temporary and are not to be associated
with any degree granting courses.
Details of essential qualification, age & emoluments are as follows:

INTRAMURAL PROJECTS :
A. Project Associate-II (01 position) for the project entitled “Biosensor development using
microRNA-mRNA-TFs and pathways” under Dr. Debjani Roy, Department of Biophysics.
Desirable Qualifications: Hands on experience in cell culture, drug delivery and
biochemical assays.
Tenure : Initially for one(01) year and renewable upto thee(03) year subject to
successful assessment.
B. Project Associate-II (01 position) for the project entitled “study of small molecule –
DNA interactions using NMR spectroscopy” under Prof. Gautam Basu, Department of
Biophysics.
Desirable Qualifications: Hands on experience of collecting and analyzing NMR spectra
of nucleic acids.
Tenure : The position is tenable upto 31.07.2021
C. Project Associate-II (01 position) for the project entitled “Comprehensive study of
urban heat island condition (UHI), its response during heat wave conditions and
interdependence on local climatic variability over Kolkata urban agglomeration using
surface and satellite observations and numerical simulations using WRF coupled with
Urban Canopy Model (UCP) ” under Prof. Sanjay K. Ghosh, Department of Physics.
Desirable Qualifications: experience in electronics circuit and sensors for atmospheric
science measurement.
Tenure : : Initially for one(01) year and renewable upto 31.12.2023 subject to
successful assessment of every year.
D. Project Associate-II (01 position) for the project entitled “Functional characterization
of Plasmodium falciparum Alba (PfAlba) family proteins with a view to develop new
antimalarial drug target” under Prof. Uday Bandopadhyay, Division of Molecular
Medicine.
Desirable Qualifications: Hands on experience in culturing malaria parasite (in vitro
and in vivo), cloning over-expression and purification of proteins. Expertise in FPLC
techniques, functional characterization of protein by Site Directed Mutagenesis, confocal
Microscopy, antibody generation from Rabbit, Rat and Mice. At-least 01(one)
publication in the field of Plasmodium.
Tenure : Initially for one(01) year and renewable upto thee(03) year subject to
successful assessment.
E. Senior Project Associate (01 position) for the project entitled “Proline-mediated
structural and dynamic effects on folded and unfolded proteins” under Prof. Gautam
Basu, Department of Biophysics.
Desirable Qualifications: NMR and Structural Biology.
Tenure : The position is tenable upto 31.07.2021
F. Senior Project Associate (01 position) for the project entitled “Comprehensive study of

qualification i.e. examination passed, year, division, percentage of marks from Secondary
onwards and stating the area of research experience with self attested copies of Certificates,

the time of interview.
