RECRUITMENT OF ONE JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOW (JRF) POSITION THROUGH
WALK- IN – INTERVIEW TO BE HELD ON 17/02/2021
Applications are invited by the undersigned from the eligible candidates to attend for a walk-ininterview for one post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) and to be recruited in the following
research project through walk in interview.
1. Funding source Central Silk Board, Bangalore
2. Duration of the project Two (02) years, up to December 2022
3. Title of the Project Integrating genomic and transcriptomics resources for
functional insight into the biology of muga silk moth.
(Project code- AIT05016MI)
4. Essential qualification: M. Tech/ M.Sc. in Bioinformatics/ Biotechnology with
experience in Bioinformatics.
Candidate with minimum of 60% marks at PG level are
eligible (55% for SC/ST candidates).
5. Desirable Preference will be given to candidates having
bioinformatics experience in genomic and
transcriptomic data analysis applying appropriate
algorithms.
6 Age limit 28 years as on 17.02.2021 (relaxation of 5 years for
SC/ST & women candidates)
7. Emoluments: JRF will be paid Rs.15000/- per month plus eligible HRA
(Total emoluments : Rs 18,600/-)
Eligible candidates may appear for the interview at the time and venue given below.
The candidates are requested to bring a latest passport size photograph, One photocopy of
each of the certificates and marks sheets in support of educational qualifications (SSLC, PUC/
HSC, B. Sc, M. Sc/ M. Tech.), date of birth, NOC from present employer if any, research
experience certificate, and caste certificate (for SC/ST candidates) at the time of interview.
Candidate should provide a valid e-mail Id and telephone/mobile number.
Note:
1. Eligible candidates with provisional / Degree certificate and mark sheets of all
semesters including final semester of M. Tech/ M.Sc. or consolidated mark sheets for all
semesters only will be eligible to attend the interview.
2. Originals of all the supportive documents mentioned above should be presented for
verification at the time of interview
Important points:
1. Walk-in-Interview starts at 9.30 AM to 12.30 PM on 17-02-2021.
2. Eligible candidates may appear for interview at the following venue
Seri Biotech Research Laboratory, Carmelaram post, Kodathi, Bangalore-560035
(Landmark: Near Harvest International School, approximately 2.5 KM from Kodathi gate
bus stop on Sarjapur main Road)
3. Applications will NOT be accepted by post/ e-mail/ courier.
4. Age limit: 28 years as on 17/02/2021 (relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST and women
candidates).
5. No TA/DA will be provided to attend the interview.
6. The above mentioned position is purely temporary, on contractual basis and is coterminus with the project. Further claim for any post will not be entertained thereafter.
7. Canvassing in any form will lead to cancellation of candidature.
8. The decision of the Director shall be final and binding in all respects.
9. The candidate attending the said interview must strictly adhere to the precautionary
measures implemented by the Govt. of India for the containment of COVID-19 in the
country.
10. All the candidates will undergo thermal screening before the interview
11. The candidates are advised to maintain social distancing, use face mask and sanitizers
