Applications are invited for one position of Project Assistant in the multi institutional co-ordinated DBT-NER-Twinning project (BT/PR25758/NER/95/1300/2017) entitled “Functional Characterisation of Regulatory Genes Involved in Pungency in Capsicum sp.” initially for 1 year, extendable upto 3 years under the supervision of Dr. Chethan J.D., Department of Microbiology and Biotechnology, Karnatak university, Dharwad- 580003. The post is purely temporary and is co-terminus with the project. 

Eligibility: M.Sc. (Microbiology/Biotechnology/Molecular Biology /Life sciences), with minimum 60% marks or equivalent CGPA. 

Desirable: The work involves cloning, yeast two hybrid analysis, protein expression and purification. Preference will be given to highly motivated candidates having good academic record and research experience in techniques related to molecular biology, metabolomics, and microbial biotechnology. 

Stipend: 20,000/- per month plus HRA (As per rules, wherever applicable).
