CSIR – National Institute of Oceanography, a constituent national laboratory of Council of Scientific & Industrial Research Institute (CSIR), invites applications from eligible candidates for recruitment of the following project staff, purely on a temporary contractual basis to carry out research work on the R&D project and to be engaged in NIO Head Quarters, Goa. 

02 Interactions between trace metals and marine biota in the Indian Ocean and its implications in nutrient cycling (TraceBioMe).

Tenure: 6 Months 

Project Associate-II 

Essential Qualification: M.Sc. Microbiology / Biochemistry / Zoology with minimum 2 years of research experience in relevant field 

Desirable Qualification & Job Requirement Candidate should have experience of sampling from marine environment, analysis for microbiological and benthic parameters. Candidate should have experience of molecular biology methodologies. Candidate with sailing experience on research vessel will be given preference. 

35 Years 

Rs.28000 /- Plus HRA as per rules 

03 Interactions between trace metals and marine biota in the Indian Ocean and its implications in nutrient cycling (TraceBioMe).

Tenure: 6 Months

Principal Project Associate 

Essential Qualification: Ph.D in Earth Sciences with minimum 4 years of research experience post PhD in the relevant field. 

Desirable Qualification & Job Requirement Experience in handling Flow injection systems, ICPMS. Candidates should have experience of sailing on research vessels.

The candidates needs to go on sampling expeditions, assist in sampling and analysis of the samples for trace metal analysis.The candidate is also expected in preparation of samples for isotopic analysis and project report preparation. 

40 Years 

Rs.49000 /- Plus HRA as per rus

Senior Project Associate 

Essential Qualification: M.Sc Marine Biology with 4 minimum 4 years of research experience in relevant field 

Desirable Qualification & Job Requirement Analysis of stable isotopes, taxonomy of foraminifera. Candidates should have experience of sailing on research vessels The candidates needs to go on sampling expeditions, assist in sampling and identification and analysis of foraminifera. 

The candidate is also expected in preparation of samples for isotopic analysis and project report preparation.research vessels.The candidates needs to go on sampling expeditions, assist in sampling and analysis of the samples for trace metal analysis.The candidate is also expected in preparation of samples for isotopic analysis and project report preparation. 

40 Years 

Rs.42000 /- Plus HRA as per rules
