Applications are invited to attend the Online Interview for various positions in the DBT/DST funded projects in the Division of Plant Physiology, ICAR-IARI, New Delhi-12. The posts are purely on contractual basis. Owing to the prevailing COVID-19 crisis, the eligible candidates are requested to send their biodata in the enclosed proforma along with self-attested scanned copy of the original documents to the e-mail address below latest by June 26, 2021.

JRF/Project Associate I 

Project 1: DBT-Networking project “Germplasm Characterization and Trait Discovery in Wheat using Genomics Approaches and its Integration for Improving Climate Resilience, Productivity and Nutritional quality” 

Rs. 31,000/- plus 24% HRA p.m. for NET/GATE or any National Level Exams conducted by Central Govt Dept. • Rs. 25,000/- plus 24% HRA p.m. for others without above qualification 

Essential: 1 st class Master’s degree in Agricultural Science (Plant or Crop Physiology), Biotechnology, Botany (Plant Physiology).

Desirable: Experience of working with field crops, designing field layout, statistical analyses, data interpretation, report writing, tissue nutrient analysis, etc. Expertise in MS-Office. 

JRF/Project Associate-I 

Project 2: DBT-Networking project “Mainstreaming of Sesame germplasm for productivity enhancement and sustainability through genomics assisted core development and trait discovery” 

Rs. 31,000/- plus 24% HRA p.m. for NET/GATE or any National Level Exams conducted by Central Govt Dept. • Rs. 25,000/- plus 24% HRA p.m. for others without above qualification 

Essential: 1 st class Master’s degree in Agricultural Science (Plant or Crop Physiology/ Biotechnology/Plant Breeding & Genetics), Botany (Plant Physiology). 

Desirable: Experience of working with field crops, designing field layout, statistical analyses, data interpretation, report writing, tissue nutrient analysis, etc. Expertise in MS-Office. 

Project Assistant 

Project 2: DBT-Networking project “Mainstreaming of Sesame germplasm….. trait discovery” 

Rs. 20,000/- plus 24% HRA p.m. 

Essential: B.Sc., preferably in agriculture, from a recognised university. 

Desirable: Experience of working in the rice/sesame/wheat field, data recording using instruments, assist in sowing, harvesting and sampling. 

Junior Research Fellow 

Project 3: DBT-NER project “Candidate gene association mapping for tolerance to iron toxicity and low phosphorus stress in rice” 

Rs. 31,000/- plus 24% HRA p.m. for NET/GATE or any National Level Exams conducted by Central Govt Dept. • Rs. 25,000/- plus 24% HRA p.m. for others without above qualification 

Essential: 1 st class Master’s degree in Agricultural Science (Plant or Crop Physiology), Biotechnology, Botany (plant physiology), Life Science (plant science) 

Desirable: Hands-on experience in basic molecular techniques like cloning, transformation, transgenic analysis, in silico analysis using various softwares, report writing. Expertise in MS-Office. 

Junior Research Fellow 

Project 4: SERB-DST project “Study of Physiological and Molecular basis of ammonia volatilization losses from rice canopy and its relationship with nitrogen use efficiency under changing climate” 

Rs. 31,000/- plus 24% HRA p.m. for NET/GATE or any National Level Exams conducted by Central Govt Dept. • Rs. 25,000/- plus 24% HRA p.m. for others without above qualification 

Essential: 1 st class Master’s degree in Plant or Crop Physiology, Botany (plant physiology), Biotechnology, Life Science (plant science) 

Desirable: Experience of working with field crops, designing field layout, statistical analyses, data interpretation, report writing, basic molecular techniques. Expertise in MS-Office. 

Junior Research Fellow 

Project 5: DBT project “Site-directed mutagenesis of low-affinity nitrate transporter gene for improving nitrogen uptake efficiency in aerobic rice” 

Rs. 31,000/- plus 24% HRA p.m. for NET/GATE or any National Level Exams conducted by Central Govt Dept. • Rs. 25,000/- plus 24% HRA p.m. for others without above qualification 

Essential: 1 st class Master’s degree in Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/ Life Sciences (Plant Science).
