Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the post of one Junior Research Fellow for the project GOI/RP 824/2021 entitled “Tropical Ecosystem Vulnerability to the changing climate : An eco-physiological study from forests of southern Western Ghats".

Tropical Ecosystem Vulnerability to the changing Climate : An eco- physiological study from forests of southern Western Ghats

Duration  :  Up to 26-03-2024

Essential qualification  :  

1.  First class Post Graduate Degree in Botany/Plant Science/BSMS Biology degree from national premier Institutes .

2.  National Level test qualification ,CSIR/UGC/ICMR-NET or GATE in Ecology and Evolution or Life Sciences

Desirable qualification  :  Experience in plant ecophysiology or plant ecology Research

Fellowship  :  Rs.31,000 plus 8% HRA (Non-Hostellers only) per month

Age  :  As on 01/01/2021 - 36 years. Age relaxation of five years in the case of scheduled caste/scheduled tribe candidates and three years in the case of other backward communities as per government rules will be given.

Project No. and Name: RP778/KSCSTE/KFRI/2019. Developing long-term monitoring tools and strategies for mitigating human-wildlife conflicts in Kerala - Phase-I

Duration    :     Up to 31st May 2022

Essential qualification

1. First class Post Graduate Degree in Wildlife Sciences/ Wildlife Studies.
2.  Minimum two years field experience in the conservation of wildlife.

Desirable qualification: Experience in field data collection for conservation issues: advanced knowledge in Remote Sensing and GIS, coordinating workshops and working with local/indigenous communities in different terrains. Knowledge in computer applications.

Fellowship: Rs. 22,000 per month

Age: 36 years as on 01/01/2021 . Age relaxation as per government rules will be applicable.
