Applications are invited for two posts (1) Junior Research Fellow (JRF) & (2) Research Associate (RA) in
the project entitled “Scale-up studies on bacterial remediation of dyes & heavy metals: a promising strategy
for circular bio-economy” under Research Support Scheme 2022-23 funded by GSBTM, DST, Govt. of
Gujarat.

Essential
Qualifications
PhD. in Microbiology/
Biotechnology/Biochemistry/Life Sciences OR
MD/MS/MDS or equivalent degree with at least 03
years of experience in research, teaching, and design &
development after a Master's degree with at least one
publication in Science Citation Indexed (SCI) journal
Desirable
Qualifications
Ph.D. and research experience in the field of
microbiology are desirable. Experience in the
relevant areas of project objectives is desirable
Junior Research Fellow (JRF) 01
Desirable Qualifications NET/GATE/BET qualified
candidates and/or research
experience in the field of
microbiology. Experience in the
relevant areas of project objectives

Essential Qualifications M.Sc. in Microbiology/ Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/Life Sciences/or an allied area with minimum 60% marks or equivalent grade
Duration of
Fellowship Initially for one year and extendable for two more years, subject to satisfactory performance
The appointment of JRF and RA is purely temporary & on a contractual basis for the defined period of the
project. The selected candidate will not be entitled to claim for regular appointment/position in the institute.
Candidates will be short-listed for interviews based on their qualifications and research experience. The
interview date will be intimated by email. Shortlisted candidates have to appear for an interview at their own
expense, no TA/DA will be provided to attend the interview. The decision of the selection committee would be
final.
