The Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Pune is a premier institute
dedicated to research and teaching in the basic sciences. It was established in 2006 by the
Ministry of Human Resource Development (renamed Ministry of Education in August 2020).
In 2012, IISER Pune was declared as an Institute of National Importance by an Act of
Parliament.
Applicants fulfilling following advertised criteria may attend Walk-in Interviews.
Laboratory Manager, Tier II, Grade
Title of
the Project “Establishment of a Pune Biotech cluster, Model Organism to
Human Disease-B-1-Bio imaging facility”
Funding
Agency Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Ministry of Science &
Technology, Government of India.
Minimum educational
Qualification Master’s Degree in life science or relevant field with first class
or equivalent grade (6.5 in 10 point scale or 60% marks).
Experience Minimum 4 years of relevant experience as mentioned under
‘Job requirements’.
Preference Candidates with experience in DNA/RNA isolation, PCR,
genotyping and sequencing analysis will be preferred.
Job
requirements Incumbent is expected
to do following:
1. Operate laboratory
animal bio-imaging (IVIS Spectrum and Micro-CT
instruments),
2. Imaging data analysis.
3. Laboratory animal handling.
Tenure
of the appointment For a period of 6 months.
Extendable for further period subject to satisfactory
performance of the incumbent and continuation of the project.
Consolidated emoluments
per month 50,000/-
