ICAR-National Meat Research Institute requires hiring services of Research Associates, Young Professional-II, Young Professional I and Project Assistant purely on contractual and temporary basis for the following projects. The details are provided below: 

Project No.1. Project: National Agricultural Innovation Fund (NAIF) – Component I (ITMU) 

Research Associate (1 No.) 

Age limit 40 years for men; 45 years for women 

Duration : 01 year (extendable) 

Master’s Degree with 4/5 years of Bachelor’s Degree having 1 st Division or 60% Marks or Equivalent OGPA with at least 3 Years’ of Experience and one research paper in Science Citation Index (SCI/NAAs rated >4.0) journal. NET qualification is Mandatory for the candidates having 3 years Bachelor’s Degree in any one of the following Subjects with NET qualification: 

Veterinary Sciences / Animal Sciences/ Dairy Science/ Food Science/ Agricultural Science/ Basic Sciences/ Agri-Business Management/ Business Management/ Agriculture & Rural Management/ Extension/ Economics Or Proficiency in Computer Skills (MS- Word, Excel, Power-Point etc.) 

Good Documentation & communication 

Rs. 54000 + HRA (For Ph.D) Rs. 49000 + HRA (For Masters) A Doctoral Degree in any one of the above Subjects. 

Project No. 2. ICAR -National Fellow project: Assessment of animal welfare, halal authentication, and detection of food fraud through integrated omics approaches 

Research Associate (1 No.) 

Duration: Two years (may be extended for three more years) 

Age limit 40 years for men; 45 years for women 

PhD in any disciplines of Life Sciences OR Masters in Biochemistry /Biotechnology / Microbiology / any relevant subject with NET qualification and having 02 years of research experience OR 
Masters in Agriculture /Veterinary /Pharmacy with 4 years/5 years of Bachelor’s degree having 1st division or 60% marks or equivalent OGPA and at least 02 years of research experience as evidenced from fellowship/ Associateship/ training/other engagements 

Experience in the area of livestock products, meat quality, safety and working knowledge on HPLC, LCMS and GC-MS, proteomics, metabolomics and bioinformatics analysis 

Rs. 54000 + HRA (For Ph.D) Rs. 49000 + HRA (For Masters) 

Young Professional-II (YP-II) (1 No.) 

Duration: One year (may be extended for two more years) 

Age limit :- Minimum age – 21 years and maximum age – 45 years 

Master’s Degree in Agriculture/Veterinary Sciences/Microbiology/Biochemistry/Pharmacy or any relevant subject 

Minimum 1 year of experience in the area of livestock products, meat quality and proteomics approaches 

Rs. 35,000/- pm (fixed) 

Project No.3. DAPSC (SCSP) Scheme “Technological interventions for livelihood enhancement of socially backward people under SCSP”. 

Young Professional I (1 No.) 

Bachelor of Veterinary Science / Bachelor of Science degree in subjects related to life sciences / B Tech (Bio technology / Bio medical sciences etc.) 

Preference will be given to candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste. 
Working experience in conducting training programmes. 
Working knowledge in computer operation. Data recording, record 

Rs. 25,000/- pm (consolidated) maintenance and report generation. 

Project No. 4. Department of Biotechnology (DBT) funded project: Comprehensive proteomic approaches and development of point-of-need lateral-flow assay for authentication of animal-derived gelatin 

Project Assistant (1 No.) 

Duration: Two years (may be extended for one more year) 

Age limit Minimum age – 21 years and maximum age – 50 years 

Bachelor of Veterinary Science/ Microbiology / Biochemistry/Pharmacy or any relevant subject Experience in the area of livestock products, meat quality, and molecular biology 

Rs. 20,000/- + HRA For Administration 

Eligible candidates may attend a Walk-in-interview on 30/05/2023 at 10.30 am at ICAR-NMRI, Chengicherla, Boduppal Post, Hyderabad-92.
