Applications are invited for the Junior Research Fellow (JRF) post in the "Repurposing Chitinous
Waste for Sustainable Agriculture Technology" project under STI policy by GUJCOST, DST, Govt.
of Gujarat. Interested applicants are requested to submit the hardcopy of the application with a
detailed resume to Dr. Rushikesh Joshi, Department of Biochemistry and Forensic Science,
University School of Sciences, Gujarat University, Navrangpura, Ahmedabad-380009, Gujarat and
also mail on rushikeshjoshi@gujaratuniversity.ac.in with the subject “Application for JRF under
GUJCOST Project” by July 17, 2023.
Only a softcopy of the application will not be considered. The
applications will be scrutinized, and only shortlisted candidates will be intimated through email for
an interview.
The appointment of JRF is purely temporary & on a contractual basis for the defined period of the
project. The selected candidate will not be entitled to claim for regular appointment/position in the
institute.
Note: Shortlisted candidates have to appear for an interview at their own expense, no TA/DA will
be given to attend the interview.
Resume should include details of academic grades, work experience and nature of work if
applicable. Complete details of NET/GATE such as year of passing/validity and discipline.
Incomplete applications will be rejected.

Essential
Qualifications
M.Sc. in Biochemistry/Microbiology/Biotechnology/ Life Sciences or
any allied area in biological science with minimum 60 % marks or
equivalent grade
Desirable
Qualifications
NET/GATE qualified candidates and/or research experience in the
relevant field.
Duration of
Fellowship
Initially for one year and extendable for two more years, subject to
satisfactory performance
