Developmental Biology Project Vacancy @ IISER Pune

The Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Pune is a premier institute dedicated to research and teaching in the basic sciences. It was established in 2006 by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (renamed Ministry of Education in August 2020). In 2012, IISER Pune was declared as an Institute of National Importance by an Act of Parliament. 

Institute invites applications from Indian nationals for the following post purely on temporary and contractual basis under funded project: 

Name of the Post  / Project Associate-I 

Title of the Project / “Role of mitochondrial dynamics and function in morphogenesis and patterning in embryogenesis”

Funding Agency India Alliance Wellcome Trust-DBT

Minimum educational Qualification M.S. / M.Sc. / M.Tech. in Life sciences / Biotechnology with 70% marks or equivalent grade. 

Additional percentage cut-off may be applied during the screening process if needed. 

Preference Candidates having research experience in Cell, Developmental and Molecular biology with basic skills in developmental genetics. Cell biology, molecular biology and biochemistry skills will be preferred. 

Desirable An interest in developmental biology and genetics is desirable. 

Tenure of the appointment Initially for a period of one year extendable for further period subject to satisfactory performance of the incumbent and continuation of the project. 

Consolidated emoluments per month Rs. 25,000/- + 24 %
