Eligible & interested candidates are invited for ONLINE INTERVIEW (Through MS TEAMS) for the following purely temporary positions of Senior Project
Associate and Project Assistant under the DST & DoP sponsored Project entitled “Centre for Marine Therapeutics (CMT)” (GAP-3138), tenable at
CSIR-Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine, Jammu: -

(i) M.Sc. in Biological Sciences/
Microbiology/Biotechnology/Bioch
emistry/Life Science/ Biochemical
Engineering or Technology from a
recognized University or equivalent.
and
(ii) 4 years’ experience in Research &
Development in Industrial and
Academic Institutions or Science &
Technology Organizations.
OR
Doctoral Degree in Biological Sciences/
Microbiology/ Biochemical
Engineering/Biotechnology from a
recognized University or equivalent.
Experience in basic
microbiological
methods, isolation and
maintenance of
microorganisms/
biotransformation /
fermentation etc.
Experience in process
optimization and scale
up in fermentation as
evident by
publications will be
given preference.
40 yrs.
₹ 42,000/- + HRA
The positions are co-terminus with the project GAP-3138. The duration of the project is up to 04.03.2028.
IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS
1. Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PwD candidates as per GOI/CSIR Instructions.
2. Age relaxation for Widows, Divorced Women and Women Judicially separated from Husbands, who are not remarried since, as per GOI/ CSIR
provisions.
ONLINE MODE OF APPLICATION AND
SELECTION PROCEDURE
1. Filled in Google Form should be submitted by or before 29th Dec 2023 up to 5:00 PM.
2. Google Form submitted after the scheduled date and time i.e. 29th Dec 2023 up to 5:00 PM shall not be entertained for Online Interview and
summarily rejected.
3. Only eligible candidates shall be accessed for the Online Interview/viva-voce on the date of Online Interview. The list of eligible shortlisted
candidates and dates for Online Interview will be displayed on CSIR-IIIM Website www.iiim.res.in by evening on 2
nd
Jan 2024.
4. The shortlisted candidates shall have to be available on the date of the Online Interview from 9.30 A.M. onwards and will be called anytime during
the allotted time (if any change is there, they will be intimated accordingly).
5. The viva-voce vis-Ã -vis eligible/shortlisted candidates shall be conducted online through Video Conferencing on Microsoft Teams. However, if a
large number of candidates apply, the Screening Committee may re-visit screening the criteria and shortlist the candidates for Online Interview in
proportion to the available vacancies. The candidates have the option to interact in English/Hindi before the Selection Committee.
6. The positions are purely temporary on a contract basis and co-terminus with the sponsored Project GAP-3138.
7. In case the final certificates reflect CGPA/SGPA/OGPA Grades etc., in that case, the candidate should convert the same into equivalent percentage as
per the approved formula of the University in the Google Form and a copy of such conversion formula must be attached along with the Google Form.
8. To avoid any inconvenience, only those candidates who strictly fulfil the eligibility criteria and possess the degrees/mark sheets in the aforesaid
subjects should apply for the Online Interview.
9. Upon selection/empanelment, the original documents including essential qualification, DOB, Caste, and age relaxation certificates will be verified. If
at a later stage any discrepancy is found, the selection/empanelment shall stand cancelled.
10. It is clarified that the engagement of all project staff in different projects either in the same Lab/Instt. or different Lab/Instt. of CSIR taken
together shall not exceed 5 years in any case. If at later stage any fudging/fraud, in this regard, is found, legal action warranted under rules shall
be taken against the wrongdoer.
